Jeremiah 20:9-11

⁹ But if I say, “I will not ^(A)remember Him
Or speak anymore in His name,”
Then in ^(B)my heart it becomes like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
And I am weary of holding it in,
And ^(C)I cannot prevail.
¹⁰ For ^(D)I have heard the bad report of many,
“^(E)Terror on every side!
^(F)Denounce him; yes, let us denounce him!”
^[a]All my ^(G)trusted friends,
Keeping watch for my fall, say:
“Perhaps he will be ^[b]deceived, so that we may ^(H)prevail against him
And take our revenge on him.”
¹¹ But ^(I)Yahweh is with me like a ruthless mighty one;
Therefore my ^(J)persecutors will stumble and not prevail.
They will be utterly ashamed, because they have not prospered,
With an ^(K)everlasting dishonor that will not be forgotten.
